Holiday Stand Mixer Giveaway
**THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED**
Happy Monday, friends! Since Christmas is just a few weeks away, I wanted to do something a little different today!
I can’t tell you how much it means to much to me when you take the time to make a recipe from my site, email me, leave a comment, or take a picture of a recipe you’ve made and send it to me. Without you this blog wouldn’t be possible and I’m truly grateful for all of you!
So this week I’m giving away three KitchenAid stand mixers! This post isn’t sponsored, it’s just my way of saying THANK YOU!
Three lucky winners will receive a KitchenAid Artisan® Series 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer and a signed copy of my new cookbook, Live Well Bake Cookies. Each winner can pick the stand mixer color of their choice up to a $350 US value (and that’s in stock on KitchenAid’s website).

In order to be eligible to win the prize listed above, you must be a US or Canadian resident and 18 years or older. Only one entry per person. This giveaway will close Thursday, December 9th, 2021 at 11:59 pm CST. I will randomly select the winners and notify the winners via email on Friday, December 10th, 2021. Each winner will have 72 hours to respond with their shipping address or a new winner will be chosen.

P.S. The mixers and cookbooks will be shipped out as quickly as possibly to the winners, but it’s possible they may not arrive before Christmas.
**THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED**
The winners of the giveaway are Donna Olson, Kristen Ferguson, and Lisa Robson.
The recipes above for egg white frosting and bear claws sound delish so I’d love to try those as well. I found your site while looking for a yummy carrot cake recipe and I really loved how it turned out. It was so easy and so moist! I also tried your pumpkin snicker doodles and it took me awhile to get them right but your tips were really good. I think I will try your oatmeal raisin cookies next! I don’t know if others would be interested but I’ve always wanted to try making my own fruitcake with nuts and fruit.
We love all things vintage so we often try to bring forward family favorites or old-fashioned recipes to the modern cook. One of the recipes we found hard to pin down is election cake. Have you ever made this? Thought it might be something fun to make! Thank you for your many many wonderful recipes.
I enjoy eating pastries, I would like to see some Danish pastries, simple versions, if possible in future postings. You already have a lot of recipes I still need to try out.
Hello! Would just like to say I love your blog. I’ve never commented or shared much, but I found your recipes three years ago and you’ve always been my go-to for baked goods. With that said, I’ve recently found myself branching out in cuisines and I’ve always had a particular fascination with French baked goods such as macarons, fruit tarts, and the like. In fact, one of my baking dreams is to make a buche de noel, though I think it might take a bit more mastery to get to that point.
All in all, it would be great to perhaps see a recipe on how to make fruit tarts! I love everything about them and have always been fascinated by their design versatility. Though they’ve always come out watery for me. So I guess I’m wondering what your take would be if you ever took this project on. They’re not really a baked good, but they’re a nice sweet treat I haven’t seen many people make. Thank you in advance if you do decide to make a recipe for this. But if not, that’s fine too! I love your recipes nonetheless and your blog remains my top one when it comes to baking.
Hi Danielle
I have a almost phobia about making yeast items such as cinnamon buns. I see lots of recipes but they mostly are very sweet and very brown sugary. I get a sugar rush that makes my whole body regret eating them. When I was a university student, they served in the hundreds that were not brown sugary buns but like a honey bun with cinnamon filling. The filling wasn’t brown sugary but was spiced nicely and the outsides were crusty from the honey on all sides. So soft, crunchy and not too sugary. I would love to see a recipe like that. It is definitely a yeast bread. Do you have something like that?
I love to look at recipes. Could you add a sugar free version for your recipes
Entering the amazing giveaway. I would love to see you make so many tasty treats such as….
1. Earl Grey Pie + Cupcakes
2. Ube Flan Cupcakes
3. Chai Latte Pie
4. Sweet + Savory Pizzas
5. Three layer cheesecake
Pie crusts!
I am interested in seeing a quick puff pastry recipe for savory and sweet things. Thank you.
You have so many wonderful recipes! I am in search of how to make a Bear Claw pastry. Also, my mom used to make a fluffy white frosting made out of egg whites which she boiled and mixed for I think 7 minutes. Do you have that recipe and instructions on how to make that? Thanks for all your recipes, you are my go to for so many baked goods, thank you!!
Hello! I am a big breakfast person, so I am particularly interested in seeing more recipes related to that. Sweet and savory scones or muffins are a great start! I think utilizing more types of ingredients like very ripe/frozen fruit in recipes is very useful and practical. I am also a huge fan of turnovers, so anything in that category is a huge plus for me!
I have finally started playing around with layer cakes. I would love some that are somewhat easy but interesting flavor combos!! Can’t wait to see what you do next year!!
I love rye bread but I can’t have seeds, so would it still work with ground fennel? I’d love you to show me how to make it???
A challenge? I am on a very specific low inflammation diet for my MS. I would appreciate anything that follows these restrictions:
Gluten Free
Sugar Free
Dairy free
N0 legumes (apparently a very common GF ingredient)
I love pastry, but can no longer have it. It makes me a very sad kitty….
Could you give some things with butterscotch?
Happy holidays!
I love a chewy chocolate peppermint cookie!
Love your recipes and blog. Here is my blog post idea for you. Anyone trying to use grandma or great-grandma’s recipes can sometimes come across terms they have never heard before. A post about what some of those term actually mean would be great. Some of my Grandma’s recipes talk about Oleo and baking in a moderate oven and the one that makes me laugh- bake until done. Some things don’t even have to be old, Just this past Thanksgiving someone asked what shortening was. 🙂
Everything looks yum. Yours are one of the only recipes that I try. Just continue doing what you do, cuz you do it well.
HOMEMADE SALTED CARAMEL SAUCE – Oct. 1st FB post…just the best for any time of the year! My favorite is over Vanilla Ice Cream, but I love it on Apple Pie and baked apples! The possibilities are endless! Thank you for all the great recipes!
I would love a whole recipe of everything rolls! From cinnamon rolls, old fashion sweet rolls, biscuit rolls, different type of bread rolls. All of them! Festive creative rolls for the holidays too!
Thanks for the opportunity Danielle,
I have always struggled with baking bread or rolls. It would be great if you did a how to: Have a blessed holiday season.
We loved the chocolate chip/oatmeal cookies!! Made so many,I froze 1/2 the batch for a month! When I thawed them out, they were soft, chewy oand moist!! I would never freeze them before and now…..I will!!
More white whole wheat recipes!
I have enjoyed using your classic cookie cook book because every recipe turns out perfectly!! I would love to learn how to make baked Alaska my all time favorite. A new mixer would help make beautiful egg whites for the meringue. I always look forward to your weekly recipes and tips. Thank you!
I would live to see Bundt cake recipes (using various size pans). I think they would make nice gifts to give to the neighbors, but I am having a difficult time finding recipes.
I appreciate how your recipes are ‘real’ — no exotic, hard-to-find ingredients and nothing ‘phoney’ — all with easy-to-follow steps that somehow make even a daunting recipe feel approachable. I would love to have you do a recipe for macarons. I took a class two years ago and it was so intimidating that I haven’t tried them at home yet. Now that I have your tiramisu recipe down pat (my husband’s favorite!) I have egg whites that are whispering to me that I need to turn them into macarons. I suppose I’m going to need to dust off my notes and give it a try but it ain’t gonna be pretty! I really could use your help here!! Thanks.
I would love to have an easy recipe for bread pudding. I love bread pudding. My mother used to make it and I would live to make it
Hi!
I would like to see a post with tips on how to improve a batch of cookies. Maybe something with common mistakes and how to fix or avoid them.
I am interested in learning to use phylo dough
I would love to see a linzer cookie recipe! They’re my favorite at Christmas! Love your blog!
