Buffalo Chicken Taquitos
Making your own taquitos right at home couldn’t be any easier with these buffalo chicken taquitos! Serve these taquitos for dinner or even an appetizer.
It’s kind of become a tradition for us to eat taquitos while we watch The Walking Dead, and since the new season started we’ve reinstated taquito night. We’re such rebels, I know.
Ever since making my baked cream cheese chicken taquitos, my husband has been on a mission to make every kind of taquito imaginable. Some of his ideas have been a little, well, crazy or off the wall. But when he mentioned a buffalo version I knew he had come up with a winner.
These taquitos are kind of a fusion of my buffalo chicken dip and these taquitos, which are two of the more popular recipes on my site. I can’t blame you all though, I love both of these recipes too because they’re delicious. So I got to work in the kitchen to combine both of these dishes and the end result was pretty incredible.
These taquitos are a little healthier than the store-bought versions since they’re baked instead of fried. Also knowing that there’s actual meat in them too is always a good thing, right? You can definitely taste the buffalo sauce in these taquitos, but I can assure you they’re not too spicy. These taquitos are perfect dipped in a little ranch too. Ranch is always necessary.
These taquitos make a great quick dinner option because they’re easy to put together and only need to bake for about 15 minutes. These would make a great appetizer for football season too. Hope you enjoy these as much as we did!

Notes
This is right up my alley. I am a buffalo sauce fanatic. I could eat it on almost anything. I love the idea of making these at home instead of premade or frozen versions.
I used to eat so many taquitos in high school, they were my favorite snack! These homemade ones look so much better than the ones I usedt o microwave though! I also love the buffalo chicken kick 🙂
As a serious Mexican food lover, I thought I had tried it all but I surprisingly never have made or eaten taquitos before! You definitely have inspired me to make the recipe Danielle, these buffalo chicken taquitos look delicious and I am curious to know what they taste like.

Yum Danielle! These taquitos look great, I’ll have to make them for the next Walking Dead. The show really grosses me out but at the same time I can’t stop watching it!! And eating taquitos while watching zombies sounds like a lot of fun!
It totally grosses me out too, but I can’t stop watching it either. It’s too addictive! Hope you enjoy them, Katie!

I’m kind of embarrassed that I’ve never tried making taquitos — these are the perfect handheld food!
I only first made them just a month or two ago, but they’re so worth it. They’re delicious!

Thanks Kelly! Thanks for pinning too 🙂
What a fun tradition! I had to stop watching the Walking Dead, because we would watch it before bed and I would be too scared to fall asleep! And then when I did fall asleep, hello nightmares. But I sure did love it when I braved it. These taquitos sound delicious!
Oh my gosh, I use to have zombie nightmares every Sunday night afterwards. I’d wake up kind of freaked out. Those have finally gone away, so I can still watch it haha. Now that I think about it TWD might not have been the best show to mention in a recipe post.
I am such a sucker for taquitos, except I always way over stuff them so mine are never pretty like yours!
I am too, Annie! I try to only use 2-3 tablespoons and measure it, otherwise I get too excited and end up overstuffing mine too haha!
Yay for Mexican food! The hotter the better I say!
I’ve never tried a taquito because they’re fried and I wasn’t sure if it would be worth the unhealthiness or not. Yours look delicious and I love how you baked them instead. Franks Hot Wing Sauce is my favorite; I use it on just about everything! Everyone seems to be talking about The Walking Dead lately and the foods they eat when watching it. Might have to check it out…
There wing sauce is the best, I love it!
I love this baked chicken taquitos! I was just wondering what to do with the shredded chicken in my fridge and will try these for dinner! Delicious! Pinned!
This is definitely a great way to use that chicken, Mira. Thanks for pinning! Hope you enjoy them 🙂

Ranch is always in our refrigerator, haha! Thanks for pinning, Sarah 🙂

I love taquitos, though I’ve never made my own! Sad, I know, so I must change that! This sounds so good with the buffalo chicken flavor, Danielle! And I love that you can control the ingredients that goes into these to make them a bit healthier. And real meat is always a plus, too! 🙂 Pinned!
You definitely have to try making your own, you would love them! Thanks for pinning too Gayle!
